During a recent visit to Asia we found ourselves in Chiang Mai, Thailand during the latern festival, an astonishing celebration / religious happening. Along with the hundreds and hundreds of paper lanterns that are released during the evening, the devout create little floating shrines and rememberances, usually flowers and candles, and float them down the Mae Ping River. During the night they are quite lovely. However, in the morning they can seem a little bit sad. This print s available in a number of larger sizes - contact me for a quote.
